Last week I showed you my master bedroom mood board. Now it’s time to start the inventory list.
Our bedroom is basically a blank slate but it does have all the essentials. All I have to basically do is prettify it by transforming the things we do have and just adding a few more items to complete the look.
What we got so far and my plans for it:
Comforter set – check. I got this puppy for $25 at Macy’s last year. It includes the comforter, sham covers and bedskirt. I don’t like the bedskirt so I’ll be replacing that.
Bedding – We need to replace our faded sheets and pillows.
Curtains – Bought these last year at Marshall’s for under $30, I had to get four panels because the window’s so long. They’ll be staying. I love the view outside, you can see the super tall bamboo we have planted in the back garden and the trees in the green belt.
Dressers – Got ’em. I plan to completely redo these.
Night stands – Got the for $80 each at Nadeau last year.
Throw pillows – We have a couple of black ones right now that I bought at the Nordstrom outlet last year. I just need to add some more.
We also have a bench in front of the bed, which I’ll be making a seat cushion for.
Ceiling fan – It’s brown and brass right now but works perfectly well. So it’s just going to get a makeover.
Paint – The walls are already painted, not doing anything there.
Head board – We don’t have one, I’ll be making one.
Accessories – I’ll be tackling all the accessories in the room.
The carpet, baseboards, window trim and popcorn ceiling removal will have to wait for now, but we will get around to it sooner than later.
